Elevatus Project Site Receives SteelCell’s 25,000th Prefabricated Cell

SteelCell, one of the Elevatus justice team’s go-to subcontractors for prefabricated modular cells, just hit a major milestone: 25,000 correctional cells manufactured.
SteelCell recently shared a LinkedIn post that showed its team gathered in front of cell No. 25,000, which happens to be part of the 1,800+ units they’re supplying for the new Northwest Indiana Correctional Facility, an Elevatus project. The new 4,200-bed state prison, currently under construction, is one of the largest correctional projects in the country.
Made from recycled A60 Galvanneal steel, SteelCell’s prefabricated units offer a durable, low-maintenance solution that installs quickly and efficiently. Their modular design allows for easy part replacement, and when paired with the Elevatus rear chase solution, they become an economical and efficient choice for detention projects.
Elevatus is proud to partner with SteelCell on the landmark Northwest Indiana Correctional Facility project and to continue delivering forward-thinking solutions that support the next generation of correctional design.
