Trine University MTI Center

Angola, Indiana

  • Education
  • Extracurricular/Athletic Facilities

The MTI Center is home to a number of Thunder Athletics programs. This 75,000 sf athletics and event center boasts an impressive addition to the growing needs of the Trine University campus. With over 3,000 seats, the arena is home court for Trine’s men’s and women’s basketball teams. In addition to this, there are additional programs and uses within this building for general student use and special uses including a fitness center, a banquet room, multiple athletic offices and training rooms.

Due to its location at the former Witmer Clubhouse, the MTI Center also houses a new Golf Pro Shop and support spaces to support the Zollner Golf Course. The center also includes a six-lane bowling alley to accommodate new men’s and women’s bowling teams.

In addition to traditional sports and functions, the MTI Center also houses one of the newest competitive programs in higher education – e-Gaming. Included in the design is a space for the newly launched Esports program which began in the Fall of 2017. This state-of-the-art space addresses a growing demand in collegiate interests in online competitive video gaming.

We had the great opportunity to work on the Ponca City Public Safety Center in Oklahoma!

Elevatus was brought on to design the 16-bed jail. The facility operates as a modern secure detention center, with distinctive Elevatus trademarks like advantageous sightlines and a high-efficiency layout.

We were proud to work on a proficient team alongside @adgblatt and Redstone Architects to deliver the new Ponca City Public Safety Center.

When our County was looking for an architecture firm to help us with the process of building a new jail, Elevatus was an easy choice for me. This was a project entirely out of my skill set, but I knew we only had one chance to get it right. Their (Elevatus) knowledge and professionalism is unmatched.

Commissioner Theresa Baysinger

Whitley County Commissioner

Elevatus stays involved throughout the entire construction process. This high level of service is very important to us because things inevitably shift and change despite the best planning. We need them to stay involved so that our budget is not affected. In the end, our projects are delivered on time and on budget and Elevatus contributes to that "now expected" outcome.
