As Community Health Network expanded its services into one of the fastest-growing areas of the Indianapolis region, the health system identified a need for a new medical office building in Westfield to provide accessible family medicine and pediatric care. Community Health selected Elevatus for its healthcare design expertise and ability to create efficient, patient-centered environments that support both providers and patients.
The project involved the interior build-out of a 10,070-square-foot medical office within a shell building that was not originally intended for healthcare use. Early in the project, challenges with the core and shell team threatened critical schedule milestones. To keep the project moving, Elevatus stepped beyond its traditional role, providing leadership and coordination beyond its contractual scope while working directly with Community Health’s in-house project management team.
Despite a compressed six-month design and construction schedule, the team successfully developed a highly efficient clinic layout that maximized every square foot of available space. Through careful planning and collaboration, Elevatus achieved Community Health’s desired exam room count while creating intuitive patient flow, operational efficiency, and a comfortable experience for staff and visitors alike. Transforming a constrained shell space into a fully functional medical clinic became the project’s greatest design accomplishment.
Today, the Westfield practice serves families throughout the growing community with convenient access to both family medicine and pediatric care in a welcoming, modern setting. By extending healthcare services into a rapidly developing area, the project helps improve access to quality care, same-day appointments, and expanded healthcare options for local residents, supporting Community Health Network’s mission to deliver exceptional care close to home.
